The Bay Island Driftwood Museum is another major attraction of Kumarakom. The museum was established by Raji Punnose who while working as a teacher in the Andaman & Nicobar archipelago collected the driftwood pieces which washed ashore and spent hours painstakingly giving shape to those woods.

The art pieces displayed there, showcase the imagination, creativity and the amazing vision of the creator who produced art from things which are usually considered as waste.
